Wade Petersen

Wade Petersen has taught French and English for 21 years in Iowa. He began teaching in Albia, served at Hampton-Dumont for fifteen years and is competing his third year in West Des Moines.

Wade earned a B.A. in French and English from Northwestern College in Orange City. He studied as an undergraduate at the Alliance Française in Paris. He earned a Master’s degree in Effective Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Drake University.

As a member of IWLA from the beginning of his career, he has presented numerous sessions at our IWLA conference. Wade has also served as membership chair. In 2004, he was recognized by the IWLA as Educator of the Year. He has presented workshops in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan and Nebraska.  He has also been keynote speaker at state conferences. He has served as president of the AATF. He has published over 30 products with Teacher’s Discovery to enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.
