Please nominate a person whom you believe exemplifies the best in teaching at his/her particular level and who has provided outstanding service to the profession in the state of Iowa and to the IWLA.
Service to the IWLA may be in the form of, but not limited to, presentations to IWLA or subgroups thereof, such as Outreach workshops; support groups; service on the Board, Advisory Council, or on IWLA committees; sharing results of grantwork; articles contributed to the IWLA Bulletin; and other such contributions.
The Distinguished Service Award is intended to recognize a member of IWLA whose entire career has reflected the best in world language teaching and in service to the organization.
Recipients must be members in good standing of IWLA.
Recipients are selected on these criteria alone. No consideration is given to the candidate’s language specialization.
You may not nominate yourself.
Please note that past recipients are not eligible to receive the Educator of the Year, but that they may be eligible for the Outstanding Service Award.
